Volunteer Opportunities

The City of Deerfield Beach is dedicated to keeping the City clean and pristine. Through a variety of projects and implementations, we are taking on the challenge of keeping our City as clean and green as possible.

The City of Deerfield Beach hosts cleanups throughout the year. These cleanups are typically held on Saturdays and run from 9 am to noon. Buckets, gloves and grabbers will be provided to volunteers. Volunteer hours are also available. Reservations are not required for these cleanups.

September 16, 2023 International Coastal Cleanup Beach, 71 SE 21st Ave, DFB

The City of Deerfield Beach will be hosting the 38th Annual International Coastal Cleanup on September 16th, 2023 from 9 AM to 12 PM.

Volunteers will gather in Deerfield Beach at the chickee hut across from the Fire Station at 71 SE 21st Ave at 9 AM for check-in. The first 100 participants will receive parking passes that will last for the duration of the event. Materials including gloves, buckets/bags, and water will be provided.

You can help us better plan for your attendance by pre-registering. 

Want to go extra green? Bring your own REUSABLE bucket, gloves or water bottle and you will be entered in to a raffle for fun DFB swag! Be sure to let us know and submit your raffle ticket when you check in.

Community Cleanups

Want to host your own community cleanup? The City of Deerfield Beach is happy to assist you by providing materials to groups interested in hosting a cleanup. Let us know where you are performing the cleanup, and we'll make sure your bags are also collected. All the City requests are for groups to return any unused supplies and to provide basic data on the cleanup through a provided form. To sponsor your own cleanup,  email the Department of Sustainable Management.
