The City of Deerfield Beach announces the availability of federal and state funding for the owner-occupied home rehabilitation and purchase assistance programs. Home Rehabilitation funding is for low to moderate-income residents, including assistance for health, safety, and code violation issues. Purchase assistance homebuyer funding is available for very low to moderate-income persons to purchase a home in the City of Deerfield Beach.
The City is an entitlement recipient of federal funds and receives an annual allocation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. In FY 2021 - 2022, the City received $363,272 for home rehabilitation and purchase assistance.
The City of Deerfield Beach expects to receive funding through the HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) FY 2021- 2022, from Broward County Environmental Protection & Growth Management Department (Broward County Consortium) for activities that benefit low and moderate-income households up to 80% AMI, approximately $207,581. Funding will be used for the Homeowner Rehabilitation Program and Purchase Assistance Programs.
The City of Deerfield Beach received $529,909 in funding from the State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) Program to benefit extremely low, very-low, low, and moderate-income households up to 120% AMI.
Funding will be used for the Homeowner Rehabilitation and Purchase Assistance Programs.
