Rental, Utility & Micro-Enterprise Assistance Funds Still Available for Deerfield Beach Residents

The City of Deerfield Beach is currently accepting Rental, Utility and Micro-Enterprise Assistance applications to assist eligible city residents and small businesses that have been financially impacted by COVID-19. 

The Rental and Utility Assistance program provides a one-time payment of up to $10,000 per household for past due rents and utility expenses.  The maximum Utility Assistance is $1,000 per household. The one-time assistance will be in the form of a grant and does not require repayment. Eligible residents must meet the low to moderate income criteria of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Refer to income chart below. The Micro-Enterprise grant program provide small businesses with up to $5,000.00 in financial assistance to meet basic obligations such as business lease or mortgage payments, utilities payments, monthly debt payments, business payroll, and business inventory expenses. The program help support business efforts to maintain their labor force.

Micro-Enterprise businesses are considered businesses with 5 or fewer employees, including the owner.  Income restrictions apply for this grant, the business owner must be low-to-moderate income or 51% of the employees must be low-to-moderate income.  Recipients of COVID-19 Federal or State funds are ineligible.
