Small businesses experiencing financial hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic can apply for the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding to help pay for leases, mortgage payments, utilities, and other COVID related expenses.
Businesses with fewer than 20 employees and annual sales of less than $3 million in annual revenue may be eligible for up to $25,000.
Priority will be given to businesses that were forced to close by the government, experienced economic injury, or voluntarily closed to support social distancing due to COVID-19 and companies with annual revenues of $1 million or less.
Applicants must complete an online application through an external portal available through the City’s web site. Businesses will be granted funding based on completed applications submitted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The City encourages business owners to read the Frequently Asked Questions and to have ready the correct documents before starting the submission as incomplete applications will not be accepted or processed. Information can be found by visiting https://www.deerfield-beach.com/1894/DFB-CARES.
