About Us

The Legislative and Community Affairs Department oversees all phases of the grants administration of federal and state entitlement grants and supports city departments in grant seeking and grant management efforts. 

The Department provides programs for neighborhood revitalization, housing assistance, and community development that build and/or expand infrastructure, public facilities, maintain the existing housing stock, expanding homeownership opportunities, and promote economic development in the city. 

The Department is also responsible for intergovernmental affairs, which includes developing and coordinating federal and state legislative programs and fostering relationships with other government agencies.   

Mission: To provide community outreach to support quality education, implement neighborhood revitalization, and seek resources to build a sustainable community.
