The City of Deerfield Beach announced a ten-year lease agreement with Bezos Academy to open a tuition-free, Montessori-inspired preschool in 2024. This project came to fruition following much discussion and consultation between the Bezos Academy, the City, and its Center for Active Aging.
The Bezos Academy preschool will be located in the Center for Active Aging’s newly built childcare center at 227 NW 2nd Street, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441. The school, Bezos Academy – Deerfield Beach, will feature two classrooms. The school will follow a full-day, year-round schedule and will be slated to open multiple classrooms in 2024.
Families earning up to 400% of the federal poverty limit with children aged 3-4 are eligible to apply. More information and an application to the lottery-based selection process will be posted on the Bezos Academy website once the school opening date is set.
