Meters

The Parking Division maintains forty-seven (47) multi-space parking meters throughout the City of Deerfield Beach. The meters are strategically placed covering 573 off-street parking spaces and 336 on-street parking spaces. Additionally, there are 497 non-metered spaces at The Cove Shopping Complex and an additional 202 non-metered parking spaces at the Palm Plaza Shopping Center

Every multi-space parking meter accepts all major credit cards:

Cash Payment

Every multi-space parking meter accepts U.S. coins.
When paying with coins the hour must be completed; i.e., $2 per hour.
Meters do accept mixed payments (coins + credit cards).
Paper currency is NOT accepted at any multi-space parking meter.

Beach Parking Sticker Information

Beach Parking stickers are available to Deerfield Beach residents ONLY. Beach stickers become available to purchase on the first business day in December for the following calendar year (January 1 - December 31).

The permits for calendar year 2021, will be available to purchase on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

Requirements for Parking Stickers 

In accordance with City Code Sec. 66-78, no person shall be issued a beach parking sticker unless the following documents are provided:

  1. Current vehicle registration for which the sticker will be affixed to.
  2. Current driver's license.
  3. Current utility bill reflecting a Deerfield Beach address. In lieu of a utility bill, a current Florida voter registration card, with a City of Deerfield Beach address, will be accepted.  

All documents must be in the applicants name. No co-ownership of beach sticker will be allowed. Click HERE for application.

Unpaid Parking Citations

In accordance with City Ordinance Sec. 66-78 (b); beach parking stickers shall not be sold to anyone that has outstanding or otherwise unpaid parking citation(s). All unpaid parking citations must be paid before a beach sticker is sold to the applicant.

Authorized Parking Locations:

The beach parking sticker is valid ONLY at the following locations:

  1. South Beach Parking Lot
    Located on SE 9th Street across from the Embassy Suites.
  2. Main Lot
    Located on Ocean Way (SE 21 Avenue) between SE 1 St & SE 2 St.
  3. Fire Station Parking Lot
    Located behind Fire Station # 75. Entrance on SE 1 St.
  4. Hillsboro Parking Lot
    Located on Hillsboro Blvd adjacent to the Fire Station Parking Lot.

Beach Residential Stickers are sold at the following locations:

  1. Aquatic Center, 501 SE 6th Avenue
    Monday-Friday; 8:00am-7:30pm
    Saturday-Sunday; 9:00am-3:30pm
  2. City Hall, 150 NE 2 Avenue
    Monday-Friday; 7:30am-4:00pm
  3. Pioneer Park Tennis Center, 222 NE 2 Avenue
    Monday-Friday; 7:30am-8:00pm
    Saturday-Sunday; 7:30am-4:00pm
  4. The International Fishing Pier, 200 NE 21 Avenue
    Monday-Sunday; 8:00am-7:00pm

Placement of Parking Sticker:

The sticker shall be permanently affixed as illustrated below:

  • Rear window
  • Driver's side
  • Exterior side of glass

DIGITAL PERMITS

Effective November 1, 2021 beach and boat ramp parking permits will be sold digitally via our On-Line Permit Portal -VirtuPermits. Click here for more information.

Disabled Parking

Individuals occupying a designated handicap parking space, must visibly display the handicap placard from the rearview mirror for the entire duration of their parking session.
Failure to visibly display the handicap placard will result in a parking citation that carry's a fine amount of $250.00. 

Individuals occupying a non-designated parking space must register the vehicle license plate at one of the multi-space parking meters. The maximum number of complimentary hours allowed is four (4). Anyone exceeding the four (4) complimentary hours will be required to pay the prevailing parking rates.
Failure to register the license plate will result in a parking citation that carry's a fine amount of $30.00.

Please note:
Four (4) hours of complimentary parking in non-designated parking spaces is ONLY available with on-street parking spaces. Complimentary parking is not available at any off-street parking lot.

Handicap spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
