Participate in information exchange via school newsletters, principals’ offices, and the administration of each school
Serve as liaison between the schools, the community and the City Commission
Coordinate the activities of the City with those activities of local schools, colleges and universities in order to promote educational opportunities for residents of the City
Promote programs and community involvement relating to education
With permission from the Mayor, the Chair can meet with members of the Broward County School Board on behalf of the Commission
The EAB meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Hillsboro Community Center located at 50 Hillsboro Technology Drive.
Membership makeup:
Five (5) members
appointed by the Mayor and each Commissioner
reside within the City of Deerfield Beach
current/former educators or parents/guardians of current students
