Ocean Way Bollard Replacement Project
Replace 244 bollards along Ocean Way from the Kirk Cottrell Pavilion to SE 10th Street. The new design features turtle-friendly lighting housed in a modern concrete shell.

Island Mobility Improvements
The project scope includes relocation of the current bus stop located at NE 20th Terrace to E Hillsboro Blvd, construction of a new bus shelter(see above rendering), new sidewalks, on street parking, paving, drainage, irrigation and landscaping.
Purchase of the Greater Deerfield Beach Chamber of Commerce in May 2018 will allow the park to expand west. Click for details and timeline.

Hillsboro Square Entrance Improvements
In an effort to improve driver safety and the pedestrian experience, the Hillsboro Square Entrance Improvements will commence in the latter part of 2021.
Kirk Cottrell Pavilion Cost: $2.6 Million
Construction of the Kirk Cottrell Pavilion facility.
Pier Porthole LED Cost: $120,000
LED Display at the north side of the Pier Complex Building streaming Spinner the Underwater Sea Camera.
Pier Roof Extension Cost: $150,000
Construction of a roof structure over the Pier Observation Deck.
Wayfinding Upgrades Cost: $150,000
Removal of sign pollution along Hillsboro Blvd and A1A in the CRA District. Installation of newly designed wayfinding signage throughout the CRA District.
A1A Crosswalks - past Cost: $450,000
Installation of lit beacons, IRELD and stamped crosswalks along A1A.
Ocean Way Electrical Upgrades Cost: $ 500,000
Electrical improvements along Ocean Way Blvd. from NE 2nd Street to SE 4th St.
Hillsboro Streetscape Cost: $7 million
Hillsboro Boulevard from Federal Highway to A1A. Under-grounded utilities, repaved roadway, installed mast arm traffic signals, paver sidewalks, bike lanes, new street furniture and lighting, increased landscaping and signage.
Sullivan Park Expansion (Phase I) Cost: $4 million
Project provided public access to the Intracoastal Waterway, improved park facilities, provided pedestrian access along the water to the Cove Shopping Center, and a recreational attraction for the community.
Ocean Way Streetscape Cost: $2.8 million
Ocean Way from the International Fishing Pier to SE 4th St. Installation of paver-brick sidewalk, new public showers, sitting walls, decorative lighting, bike lane and sidewalk on west side of roadway.
North Boardwalk Extension Estimated at $200,000
North Boardwalk to Ocean Way Promenade & portion of NE 2nd St. Installation of brick paver sidewalks, curbing and bollards.
Deerfield Beach International Pier Entrance Facility Cost:$4.5 million
The beautiful Pier Entrance buildings are the City's first LEED facility & have achieved Silver Certification. It features a welcome center, bait & tackle rental booth, public restrooms, public observation deck, & family-friendly diner.
Cove Shopping Center Parking Lot Cost: $3.2 million
Project included installation of drainage system, landscaping, lighting, and an iconic entryway tower.
Cove Gardens Streetscape Cost: $1.6 million
The Cove Gardens neighborhood lies between Hillsboro Square & the Cove Shopping Center. The project includes the installation of a new drainage system, roadway surfaces, sidewalks, lighting, and landscaping.
S-Curve Streetscape - Phase 1 Cost: $540,000
A1A from Hillsboro Blvd. to NE 2nd St. Installation of drainage, curbing, brick paver sidewalk, landscaping and decorative streetlights.
