The Center for Active Aging provides transportation services for individuals 60 years of age and older who reside in northeast Broward County to the Center for special programs and activities, for congregate meals, to medical and social service agencies, and for grocery shopping trips.
Our bus drivers are trained to assist physically or mentally handicapped elderly entering or exiting vehicles. Our buses are capable of accommodating walkers and wheelchairs and our drivers will escort our passengers, from point of pick-up through entry, as well as exit to drop-off point, to assure their safety and well-being. Our Transportation team also coordinates transportation services for the City of Deerfield Beach community bus shuttle. This service is provided in conjunction with Broward County Transit and provides transportation services to individuals of all ages in Deerfield Beach. We run two fixed routes, Express I and Express II, that connect with several Broward County Transit routes.
