Join our team of dedicated volunteers. Our ideal volunteer is dependable, friendly, and motivated by helping others. All hours are flexible – you can volunteer 1 hour, 5 hours, 20 hours, or whatever fits your schedule.
Below are examples of volunteer services. If you have a special talent or are interested in volunteering in something that you enjoy doing and you do not see it listed, then we would love to talk with you and determine if it can be tailored to our activities.

Center for Active Aging
Special events - bake sales, holiday and theme parties, field trips
Gardening projects and outdoor activities
Leading discussion groups, such as current events, reminiscing
Entertaining, such as plays, music, clowning, dancing
Leading an arts and crafts class, or any class in which you have a particular
Skill, talent, or knowledge, facilitate an exercise or fitness program, organize the library, serve lunches, coffee shop assistance, etc.
Administrative tasks, including answering phones, filing, mailings, data entry, etc.
Teach basic computer and cell phone skills to seniors
Alzheimer’s/Adult Day Services Center
Assist with one-to-one or small group recreation projects and activities, card playing, crafts, trivia, gardening and flower arranging, holiday decorating, puzzles
Answer phones and other administrative tasks
Serve snacks and lunches
Facilitate small and large group discussions, current events, and games
Bargain Box Boutique
Multi-Cultural (Creole, Spanish, and Portuguese Speaking) Elders Program
Assist with small recreational projects, gameplay, crafts, and trivia
Must be bilingual in either Creole, Spanish, or Portuguese
NEFP CASA Board and NEFP Auxiliary
Assist with fundraising efforts, such as the Fashion Show, Cuisine of the Region Food & Wine Tasting Event, special raffles, etc.
Positive promotion and awareness of the Center’s services and programs
Securing in-kind services, supplies, and donations for the Center
