Drop-Off Recycling Center

The City of Deerfield Beach Drop-Off Recycling Center is open to City residents and non-residents for general recycling disposal. Specifically for residents, a “Special Wastes” drop-off is available.

The Drop-Off Center is also home to other unique services including our City Shred, and monthly Household Hazardous Waste days.

Regular recyclables accepted include:
  • Newspaper (including inserts)
  • Flattened Corrugated Cardboard
  • Magazines, Catalogs
  • Junk Mail & Phone Books
  • Paperboard (e.g. Cereal & Shoe Boxes)
  • Mixed Paper (Office & Computer Paper)
  • Glass Bottles & Jars (Clear, Green, Brown)
  • All Plastic Containers  #1- #7   (No Lids, No Styrofoam, plastic packaging, films or bags)
  • Gable Top Cartons (Milk Cartons)
  • Aluminum Cans
  • Clean Aluminum Foil
  • Juice Boxes
  • Steel/Tin Cans
  • Scrap Metals  

Special Waste
Our Special Waste collection includes hazard-free materials which are typically prohibited in regular garbage collection.

City Residents Only:

  • Latex paint (dried paint can be disposed of in the trash)
  • Electronics (TVs, computers, small appliances, etc)
  • Propane cylinders

Open to all:

  • Used motor oil & filters
  • Antifreeze
  • Auto and marine batteries
  • NICAD and rechargeable batteries
  • Old shoes

Old shoes are accepted in a separate container at the Recycling Drop off Center and are used for international redistribution.

Tires can be recycled for City Residents on a daily basis.  Please be prepared to show proof of residency.
Charge: $2 each for passenger and light truck tires, $5 each for semi tires and tires on rims. 

Please be prepared to pay with checks made out to the City of Deerfield Beach if at all possible.
