The City of Deerfield Beach and the Deerfield Beach Cultural Committee present a Dive-In Theater showing of Monsters VS. Aliens. Make sure to bring blankets or beach chairs for your seating comfort. 9th Annual Health Fair “Fit through the Ages” - Oct. 24
Health Fair activities will include vendors with "healthy" education and information for all ages. Health Screenings will include: cholesterol, blood sugar, balance, hearing, blood pressure, cataract/glaucoma, carotid artery, massage therapy, Reiki and healing touch, bone density, pulse oximetry, podiatry, rapid HIV testing and pregnancy testing. Door prizes, entertainment and refreshments will be available.Complimentary Flu Shots for individuals over 60 years of age

Halloween Extravaganza - Oct. 28
Fun for the entire family. Activities will include a costume contest, scary karaoke, bounce houses, the Fun Mobile and balloon art.
Family Halloween Hoe-Down - Oct. 29
All ages will enjoy the Halloween games, activities, petting zoo, refreshments and goody bags, plus contests for pumpkin-carving and best costumes.
Teen Masquerade Ball - Oct. 30
Teens ages 12-18 will have their opportunity for Halloween fun, including music, games and treats. There will also be a costume contest, with prizes awarded for Most Creative, Prettiest and Most Unusual costumes. No scary masks will be admitted.
Pier Entrance Redesign Committee Meeting - Oct. 6
A committee comprised of qualified City Staff will meet to evaluate RFQ/CRA #2008-09/47 (Redesign of City Pier Entrance and Related Structures and Appurtences). The purpose of the meeting will be to receive presentations from the five firms previously determined to be most qualified. A question and answer period will follow each presentation. Subsequent to the presentations, the committee will have open discussion and then, based upon qualifications, rank the five firms. The evaluation committee will provide a recommendation to the Deerfield Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Board at a public meeting (date to be determined), which shall make its determination whether to authorize the CRA Director to commence negotiation of a contract for the services described.

District 1 Meeting - Oct. 29
