D4 News
Hello friends,

I would like to recognize all veterans on a very solemn holiday tomorrow. Veterans Day was originally named Armistice Day after the conclusion of World War I ("the war to end all wars"). With the approval of legislation on June 1, 1954, November 11 became a day to honor American veterans of all wars. Veterans Day continues to be observed on November 11 regardless of what day of the week on which it falls. Please remember to celebrate and honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Please note that the S.W. 10th Street kick-off meeting has been rescheduled to November 15th. It is still at the DoubleTree Hotel (100 Fairway Drive) from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The previous date, which has been canceled, was November 1st.

Thank you and have a great weekend!

Todd Drosky
Commissioner
