I want to thank everyone for their patience as we clean up from Hurricane Irma. The storm caused a conservative 100,000 cubic yards of tree debris that needs to be collected. That equates to just under 33 million pounds of debris. To put it into further perspective, the storm, in less than two days, created bulk waste the City normally collects in a year and a half. The pick-up operation is running very efficiently thanks to the dedicated city employees who are working tirelessly to get the job done.
As we return to normal business operations, I would like to announce that my next Saturday office hours will be October 7th from 10:00am until noon at City Hall. You can schedule an appointment by calling the City Manager's Office at (954) 480-4263.
Have a safe weekend!
