Hurricane Debris Removal & Bulk Collection Update

The City would like to thank residents for their cooperation and patience as it continues its removal of storm debris from our neighborhoods.

The City is now picking up mixed piles of debris.

Through Monday, October 9th, more than 16 million pounds of debris had been collected.

The City expects to commence a modified bulk collection next week. Due to the large volumes of bulk waste, all piles may not be completed in the first pass.

Staff will continue to focus on the areas where the most hurricane debris materials are located which may result in some bulk not being collected on regularly scheduled collection days.

If your bulk has not been collected please do not call the City. City and contractor crews are surveying the City multiple times a day and are aware of the existence of piles; materials will be collected as soon as possible.

There will still be resident bulk drop-off availability at the Recycling Drop-Off Center until further notice.
