The City of Deerfield Beach once again welcomes everyone to unite and pray together as a community at the 66th Annual Observance of the National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 4th, at Deerfield Beach City Hall, Commission Chambers, 150 NE 2nd Avenue from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.
The National Day of Prayer was established by the United States Congress in 1952, with the intention that it would be a day when members of all faiths could pray together in their own way. This year’s theme is “For Your Great Name’s Sake! Hear us…Forgive us…Heal Us!” and is based on Daniel 9:19, “O Lord, Listen! O Lord, Forgive! O Lord, Hear and Act! For Your Sake, O My God…””
