US Flag Disposal Program Comes to Deerfield Beach

Through a partnership between the National Association of Counties, the National Flag Foundation and the National Sheriff’s Association, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners has provided a flag retirement box for Deerfield Beach Residents to dispose of old, tattered and torn flags at the following location:

City of Deerfield Beach

BSO Central Substation (Across from City Hall)

300 NE 2nd Street

Deerfield Beach, Florida 33441

The City of Deerfield Beach is participating in this program as part of a national campaign to support flag etiquette to ensure a dignified retirement for the U.S. flag.

Flags deposited in the boxes will be collected and disposed of properly and should be folded appropriately before being placed in the box. Only U.S. flags will be accepted.

When a flag is worn, tattered, ripped or soiled beyond repair, it is no longer fit to serve as a symbol of our country and should be retired and disposed of properly.

We thank you for your participation.
