The City of Deerfield Beach Parks system consists of four Community Centers and 19 parks, both active and passive. Other unique facilities include a state-of-the-art Aquatic Center, a Tennis Center with six lighted courts, Middle School Athletic Complex, the 920 foot Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier and a Blue Wave award-winning one mile stretch of beach.
Amenities at the various parks run the gamut, from multiple athletic fields and courts to fishing docks and boat ramps to a full size gymnasium at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex This, in addition to many neighborhood playgrounds and tot lots.
At the Constitution Park, Pioneer Park, Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex, and Highlands Community Center, the city offers a variety of recreational, social and cultural programs. Middle School Athletic Complex consists of a quadplex, 4 baseball fields, Football/Soccer field, full size track, as well as the state of the art Aquatics Center.
The Parks and Recreation Department also maintains two respectful and well-maintained municipal cemeteries, Memorial and Pineview. The city administers the purchasing of cemetery plots, interments and perpetual care of 35 acres of cemetery grounds.
